Apart from his daredevil action stunts and impeccable comic timing, actor Akshay Kumar is also known for his fitness. At 58, Bollywood’s Khiladi is as fit and energetic as ever. In an interview with ABP News, the ‘Air Lift’ star shared his fitness regimen.
He clarified that he doesn’t believe in depriving himself of good food. “I am not one of those people who count calories or think about my protein intake. I eat jalebi, barfi, puri chole,” he admitted. However, there are some rules he follows to keep fit - not eating after 6:30 pm in the evening and avoiding drinking at parties. He also said he had been observing this rule for the past 20 years or so.
“If someone hands me a drink, I will say cheers and pretend to toast and not drink it. I later pour the drink in the bushes!” he explained.
Kumar also opened up on how he was once assigned a smaller room than his co-star in a film, as his past movies were not commercially successful.
On the work front, Akshay Kumar was recently seen in the legal comedy drama ‘Jolly LLB 3’ along with actor Arshad Warsi.
Jolly LLB 3 marks the third chapter in the popular courtroom drama-comedy franchise, following directly after the events of Jolly LLB 2. The film brought back a stellar ensemble with Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi, and Saurabh Shukla in pivotal roles, while Amrita Rao and Huma Qureshi returned to reprise their characters from the earlier installments, ensuring continuity for longtime fans of the series.
The movie hit theatres on 19 September 2025 and was greeted with favorable responses from most critics, who praised the performances and courtroom humor. Despite the warm reviews, the film struggled to make a strong commercial mark. Its theatrical run concluded with a total box-office collection of ₹138 crore, a figure that fell short of industry expectations for a film of this scale.
