Inter-ministerial teams to assess flood damage

Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced inter-ministerial teams to assess flood damage in Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh. Teams arrived on September 7 and began fieldwork on September 8, led by senior IAS officers. In Uttarakhand, teams visited Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, and other districts on September 8 for on-ground evaluations, including infrastructure losses and victim interactions. Move to upgrade the pay grade of Inspectors and Sub-Inspectors in DP

Newly appointed Commissioner Satish Golcha has initiated a significant move to upgrade the pay grade of Inspectors and Sub-Inspectors from Grade ‘C’ to Grade ‘B’. A formal letter was sent from the Police Commissioner’s Secretariat to the Delhi Government on or around September 6, 2025. If approved, this would result in a salary increase for these ranks, addressing long-standing demands for better compensation to boost morale and retention.
