Huge delays as major UK motorway closed after horror eight-vehicle smash

Huge traffic jams are building up on a major UK motorway following a horror eight-vehicle smash.

The M60 has been closed in both directions near Stockport as emergency services respond to the collision, which happened around 11.30am this morning. It involved four cars and four HGVs. Photographs from the scene show police, ambulances and the fire service at the scene.

Drivers in the area have been warned about traveldisruption this afternoon, which is expected to continue for a "substantial amount of time." National Highways said the motorway remains closed between Junction 25 at A560 Crookilley Way to Junction 1 at the A5145 Travis Brow.

Epstein's last moments seen on prison CCTV as probe unveils real cause of death

CCTV footage has been released showing the outside of Jeffrey Epstein's prison cell six years after the paedophile took his own life, amid a probe into his death.

The disgraced billionaire was foundhanging in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Centre in New York City on August 10, 2019. He had been convicted and jailed for sex trafficking offences as well as procuring a minor for prostitution.

Roughly 11 hours of video show what life was like inside the prison on the day he was found dead as well as the day before on August 9. One brief clip apparently shows Epstein dressed in an orange jumpsuit being walked to his cell by a guard at around 7.49pm.

David Killick has died aged 87.

The actor, who starred in The Crown and A Touch of Frost, died last Friday after a short illness.

His agent confirmed the sad news in a statement, revealing that he had died in a north London hospice and paid tribute to his 60-year acting career.

King Charles has entrusted a key royal dubbed the Firm's 'secret weapon' to carry out a major overseas trip on his behalf.

It has been announced that Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh will travel to Bosnia and Herzegovina later this week, where on behalf of the monarch, she will attend an event marking the 30th Anniversary of the Srebrenica Genocide.

Michael Douglas, 80, announces retirement from acting in sad update

Finally,Michael Douglas has revealed his retirement from acting in a sad update with fans. The Hollywood legend says he has no intention of getting in front of the camera again as she explained his indefinite hiatus.

The silver screen icon, 80, said: "I have not worked since 2022 purposefully because I realised I had to stop. I had been working pretty hard for almost 60 years, and I did not want to be one of those people who dropped dead on the set,' the two-time Oscar winner explained, according to Variety.
