Tony Ferguson: "I don't have to hate somebody in order to fight them. I mean, literally, I could fight my teammate if I needed to. I know that we're going to go in there and get a paycheck each time. I've had a lot of people talk to me and explain to me about the fight game and especially my pops where he was saying, 'Go into this with no hate. Don't go into this and make it personal'."
Salt Papi: "I'm actually not sure how good Tony Ferguson is in boxing, but I know I have improved since my last fight. I have watched him. He's a very tough guy. He fought the best of the best and people remember the eight losses, but people forget about the 12-fight win streak."
