After scripting history by winning the T20I series 3–2 against England on their home soil, the Indian women’s cricket team is now focused on clinching the upcoming three-match ODI series. One of the stars of the T20I victory, opener Smriti Mandhana, not only led the charge on the field with her brilliant century in the first match but also received a personal joy off the field — her boyfriend, music composer and director Palash Muchhal, has arrived in London to support her.
Palash shared his presence in London via his Instagram stories, showing that he is now with Mandhana ahead of the ODI series. The couple, who have been open about their relationship, have often shared glimpses of their bond on social media. Palash, 29, and Smriti, 27, have celebrated milestones together, including a heartfelt birthday post earlier this year in which Smriti called him “my boy” and wished him all the happiness in the world. The celebration also featured Bollywood personalities like Sonu Nigam and Sharad Kelkar, highlighting Palash’s deep connections in the entertainment industry.
Known for being one of the youngest composers in Bollywood, Palash began his career at a very early age and has made a name for himself through his music and film direction. His support for Smriti has often been visible during her matches, and his presence in the UK is expected to give a boost to the star batter's morale ahead of the ODI clashes.
As the Indian team gears up for the first ODI on July 16, all eyes will once again be on Smriti Mandhana. Her dominant performance in the T20I series, where she scored 221 runs at an average of 44.20 — including her maiden T20 century — set the tone for India’s triumph. With 4473 runs in 102 ODIs and an impressive average of 45.59, including 11 centuries, Smriti will be keen to carry forward her form and help India claim another historic series win.
With professional momentum and personal support aligning, Mandhana seems ready to take on the next challenge in England with both determination and joy.
