Rod Stewart's backing singer explained she's suffered a troubling summer after being taken to hospital -sharing a worrying photo from her hospital bed. The rock icon is supported during performances by vocalists Holly Brewer and Joanne Bacon, and it was Holly who had to seek medical attention this past summer.
In a snap posted to Instagram, Holly was seen wearing pyjamas and reclining in a hospital bed, watching Love Island on a laptop while blue curtains were drawn around her for privacy. Another snap showed her curled in a foetal position with a sick bucket next to her head, wearing a hospital bracelet and hugging a blue blanket. She even shared a selfie showing her listening to music while sporting a hospital gown.
Holly explained to her fans: "Summer 2025 you definitely wasn't what I had imagined in more ways than one.

"Between the hospital trips and bed days I've learned to appreciate a slower pace for a while, romanticise all the little things and be even more grateful for my people who have made the hard days a little easier. Here's some of the moments in between."
She was supported by fans and friends in the comments section, with one writing: "Love you so much!"
Someone else said: "Sending hugs and hoping you're able to get back on stage soon. Take care!"
While a third echoed: "Stunning even in a hospital gown, ridiculous! Big hugs gorgeous girl." And a fourth said: "Love you millions, our brave superstar!"
Holly thanked her boyfriend, Levi, for being there for her throughout it all, writing in September: "Happy Birthday to the one worth waiting for. his year has been a hard one, yet you've been the best thing that's ever happened to me.
"You've shown up for me in every way possible and I thank my lucky stars everyday that we met. You've become my best friend, my favourite team member and I love you more than words can say. Today is all about you and you deserve it all."
