Bantwal: Car driver killed in road mishap

Bantwal: A tragic road accident at Thumbay on Saturday afternoon, July 5, claimed the life of a car driver after a collision involving a container lorry.

The deceased has been identified as Noufal, a resident of Pavoor.

According to police reports, the accident occurred when the car, en route from B.C. Road towards Mangaluru, lost control, hit the divider, and flipped onto the opposite lane. At that moment, a container lorry coming from the Mangaluru side collided with the overturned vehicle.

Noufal, who sustained serious injuries in the crash, was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries on the way, doctors confirmed.

Bantwal traffic police visited the spot and have registered a case in connection with the incident.
